About Central University of Odisha

The last date to fill CUET UG 2023 application form is March 12, 2023. CUET UG 2023 exam will commence between May 21 and May 31, 2023. The parliament established the Central University of Orissa under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (No. 3C of 2009). It is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of "equity and access" and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%. UGC approves the Central University of Orissa. The university has been participating in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) since 2016. Central University of Orissa ranked 23rd among the 25 top Central Universities of the country, as per the Outlook-ICARE rankings. As well as recently, the university was in the rank band of 151-200 position in NIRF ranking.

Central University of Orissa course admissions 2024 take place online and offline modes. Admission to various courses is based on entrance exams and merit. Central University of Orissa admissions are done on the basis of CUET exam. Applicants for all courses have to appear for the Common University Entrance Test- CUET conducted by National Testing Agency. Central University of Orissa admission is available for courses like B.Ed, MA, M.Sc, Computer Science, MBA, Integrated M.Sc, PhD, LLB etc. as per the Central University of Orissa UG admission criteria, 15% of seats in each programme is reserved for SC and ST candidates. 27% of the seats are reserved for the OBC(NCL). 10% of the seats on approved intake in each programme is reserved for candidates belonging to the EWS category. 5% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the PWD category. The Central University of Orissa has a computer centre to serve the needs of students. Students can use computers for academic purposes.

Central University of Orissa scholarships are offered to eligible students. The students get merit cum means-based scholarships. There are multiple scholarship schemes available in Central University of Orissa.
